Automotive Curved Glass Washing Machine – SKAL-BW Series
The SANKEN SKAL-BW series cleans curved automotive glass through coordinated washing, rinsing and drying stages. PLC and touch-screen control manage machine operation, while glass detection controls pure-water spraying and blower adjustment. Stainless steel covers and water tanks support the wet-processing sections.

Automotive Curved Glass Washing Machine
SANKEN SKAL-BW series washes and dries curved automotive glass, including front and rear windshields, side windows and roof glass. The machine combines pre-spraying, high-pressure washing, pure-water rinsing and high-pressure air-knife drying under PLC and touch-screen control.
The series includes SKAL-1300BW and SKAL-1900BW, with maximum glass sizes of 1250 × 800 mm and 1850 × 1250 mm respectively. Select the model around glass size, thickness, bending depth and cross curvature.
Washing and Drying Process
Pre-Spraying
The pre-spray stage wets and rinses the glass before the main washing operation.
High-Pressure Washing
High-pressure water flushing cleans the glass surfaces. The washing system includes water heating and automatic heating control for the selected process conditions.
Pure-Water Rinsing
The pure-water stage rinses the glass after washing. Glass detection controls the pure-water spray valve as panels enter and leave the processing area.
Air-Knife Drying
High-pressure air knives remove water after rinsing. Frequency-controlled blowers regulate air pressure and volume for the glass and drying requirements.
Automatic Control Features
PLC and Touch-Screen Operation
The PLC and touch-screen interface provide access to machine operation and process settings. Adjust the washing and drying arrangement for the selected glass design.
Glass-Responsive Blower Control
The control system detects glass entry and discharge and adjusts blower inverter frequency accordingly. Frequency control allows the air pressure and volume to be coordinated with the processing stage.
Automatic Pure-Water Spray Control
Glass detection switches the pure-water spray valve on and off according to panel movement through the machine.
Idle Water-Pump Shutdown
When no glass enters for an extended period, the water pump switches off automatically. Coordinate the idle behavior with the factory production arrangement.
Water and Air Filter Monitoring
The machine monitors water and air filters and gives an alarm when blockage is detected, supporting routine filter servicing.
Motor Fault Detection
Motor fault detection stops the affected operation and provides an alarm for troubleshooting.
Automatic Water Refill and Heating
Automatic water replenishment maintains the water supply in the washing arrangement, with automatic control of water heating.
Stainless Steel Covers and Water Tanks
Stainless steel covers and water tanks support the wet-processing sections of the equipment. Plan access for tank cleaning, filters and routine servicing.

Bending depth and cross curvature are separate geometry limits. Review the complete glass drawing against both values when selecting the model.
Cleaning speed is the glass transport speed through the washing process. Finished-panel output depends on glass dimensions, panel spacing, geometry and the selected washing and drying conditions.

SKAL-1300BW
Processes glass from 350 × 350 mm to 1250 × 800 mm, with thicknesses of 1.6–5 mm. Maximum bending depth is 60 mm and maximum cross curvature is 20 mm.
SKAL-1900BW
Processes glass from 900 × 600 mm to 1850 × 1250 mm, with thicknesses of 1.6–6 mm. Maximum bending depth is 300 mm and maximum cross curvature is 50 mm.
Both models have a cleaning speed range of 1–10 m/min. Send glass drawings showing panel dimensions and curvature to confirm the conveying and washing arrangement.
Automotive Glass Applications
The equipment can be configured for curved front windshields, rear windshields, side windows and roof glass within the selected model’s size and geometry range.
Coordinate washing with the appropriate upstream and downstream stages of the automotive glass process. Match the surface condition, glass structure and cleanliness requirements to the intended next operation.
Factory Layout and Utilities
Plan the washer around incoming glass handling, the washing and drying sections, discharge conveying and maintenance access. Coordinate the conveying direction and transfer interfaces with connected equipment.
