    Glass Drilling Functions

    CNC-Controlled Hole Positioning

The servo-driven X, Y and Z axes control the movement and positioning required for drilling. Hole locations are programmed according to the glass-processing requirements.

Drilling Diameters from 4 to 50 mm

The SKD-CNC Series supports drilling diameters from 4 to 50 mm. Suitable drilling tools and processing settings are selected according to the required hole size and glass thickness.

    One-Group and Two-Group Spindle Configurations

    One-group models are available as SKD-CNC151A, SKD-CNC201A and SKD-CNC251A. Two-group models are available as SKD-CNC152A, SKD-CNC202A and SKD-CNC252A.

The spindle configuration can be selected according to the glass sizes, drilling requirements and production arrangement.

    Online Glass Processing

The machine is designed for integration with compatible glass-processing equipment, including double edging lines and washing machines. Connected equipment can exchange operating signals to coordinate the glass transfer and processing sequence.

    Production Line Integration

The SKD-CNC Series can be included in an automated glass-processing line where glass moves through edging, drilling, washing and unloading operations.

Automatic Glass Loading → Glass Edging → CNC Glass Drilling → Glass Washing → Automatic Glass Unloading

After edging, glass can be transferred to the CNC drilling station for hole processing. The drilled glass can then move to a connected washing machine before unloading.

The drilling machine can exchange control signals with compatible loading, unloading and processing equipment. The communication interface and transfer sequence must be reviewed for each production line.

For installations using equipment from different manufacturers, compatibility should be confirmed before finalizing the line layout and control system.

    Machine Configuration

    Servo-Driven Axes

The X, Y and Z axes use servo motor control for programmed movement during glass drilling.

    CNC Control System

The CNC system coordinates glass positioning and drilling operations according to the selected processing program.

    Drilling Spindle Groups

The series offers one-group and two-group spindle configurations. This allows the machine arrangement to be selected according to the required drilling process.

    Glass Transfer Interface

The machine can be connected to compatible glass transfer and production equipment. Conveyor alignment, communication signals and machine operating sequences are considered during line integration.

    Typical Working Sequence

Glass Infeed → Glass Positioning → CNC Hole Drilling → Glass Discharge

Glass enters the drilling station from the upstream equipment. The CNC system controls the required drilling positions and operates the configured spindle group or groups.

After drilling, the glass is transferred to the next connected station. Additional washing or unloading operations are carried out by the relevant equipment in the production line.

    Choosing the Right SKD-CNC Model

Model selection depends mainly on the glass processing width and the number of drilling spindle groups required.

    1500 mm Processing Width

SKD-CNC151A and SKD-CNC152A support glass widths up to 1500 mm. The 151A uses one spindle group, while the 152A uses two groups.

    2000 mm Processing Width

SKD-CNC201A and SKD-CNC202A support glass widths up to 2000 mm. Both models share the same published drilling diameter and thickness ranges, with different spindle-group configurations.

    2500 mm Processing Width

SKD-CNC251A and SKD-CNC252A accommodate glass widths up to 2500 mm. The 251A has one spindle group, while the 252A has two.

The drilling pattern, required production cycle and available space should be reviewed together with the selected model.

    Applications

The SKD-CNC Series is suitable for drilling flat glass within automated processing lines, particularly where edging, drilling and washing are arranged in sequence.

The machine can be considered for architectural glass, furniture glass and other flat-glass products requiring drilled holes before subsequent processing.

The equipment and drilling tools should be selected according to the glass thickness, required hole dimensions and production-line arrangement.
