Exporting glass-processing machinery since 2002, with international project support from planning to installation and training.
The SANKEN SKW Series Horizontal Glass Washing Machine is designed for cleaning and drying flat glass during production.
The machine uses a bevel gear transmission system with mechanical stepless speed regulation. Glass passes through pre-spraying, brush cleaning, absorbent sponge rollers and low-pressure hot air drying.
Four models are available: SKW-800, SKW-1200, SKW-1600 and SKW-1800.
The series supports glass thicknesses of 3–19 mm, with maximum processing widths from 800 to 1800 mm. It is suitable for cleaning architectural, furniture and appliance glass before subsequent manufacturing processes.
The SANKEN SKW Series Horizontal Glass Washing Machine is designed for washing and drying flat glass during glass processing. The machine combines mechanical stepless speed regulation, bevel gear transmission, pre-spraying, brush washing, absorbent sponge rollers and low-pressure hot air drying.
Glass is conveyed through the washing and drying sections in a horizontal position. The bevel gear transmission drives the conveying system, while the washing brushes and water-removal components carry out the cleaning process.

SANKEN SKW Series Horizontal Glass Washing Machine
The SKW Series uses a sequence of washing and drying operations to remove surface contamination and water from flat glass.
Glass passes through a pre-spraying section before brush washing. The water spray helps wet the glass surface and prepare it for subsequent cleaning.
The washing brushes contact the glass surfaces during conveying. This stage removes surface dirt and other residues associated with glass handling and processing.
Absorbent sponge rollers remove part of the remaining water from the glass after brush washing, preparing the workpiece for the final drying stage.
The final section uses low-pressure hot air to dry the washed glass. Drying results depend on the conveying speed, glass dimensions, water condition and operating settings.
The SKW Series uses bevel gear transmission rather than a conventional chain-driven conveying arrangement. The gear system transfers motion to the conveying mechanism as glass passes through the machine.
This transmission arrangement is intended to provide stable glass conveying during washing and drying. The machine should be maintained according to the operating requirements of the conveying and gear components.
The conveying speed can be adjusted through the mechanical stepless speed regulation system. Operators can select the operating speed according to the glass thickness and required washing conditions.
Flat glass moves horizontally through the washing and drying sections. The selected model should match the maximum glass width and the available space around the loading and unloading areas.
The spraying arrangement supplies water to the glass before the brush washing section.
The brush cleaning section washes the glass as it passes through the machine. Brush condition and cleaning-water quality should be maintained for the required washing results.
Sponge rollers are used after brush washing to remove surface water before the hot air drying stage.
Low-pressure hot air completes the drying process before the glass leaves the machine.

The SKW Series includes four horizontal washing machine models with different processing widths, power ratings and overall dimensions.
| Model | Max. Processing Size | Min. Processing Size | Glass Thickness | Total Power | Machine Dimensions | Weight |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SKW-800 | 800 × 2500 mm | 200 × 200 mm | 3–19 mm | 11 kW | 3500 × 1200 × 1300 mm | 800 kg |
| SKW-1200 | 1200 × 2500 mm | 200 × 200 mm | 3–19 mm | 11 kW | 4200 × 1500 × 1200 mm | 1000 kg |
| SKW-1600 | 1600 × 3000 mm | 200 × 200 mm | 3–19 mm | 12 kW | 4500 × 2000 × 1300 mm | 1300 kg |
| SKW-1800 | 1800 × 3000 mm | 200 × 200 mm | 3–19 mm | 16.5 kW | 5000 × 2200 × 1300 mm | 1700 kg |
The final equipment configuration and installation requirements should be confirmed according to the selected machine and production layout.
All four models use the same washing and drying principle and support glass thicknesses from 3 to 19 mm. Model selection mainly depends on glass size, power requirements and available installation space.
The SKW-800 supports flat glass up to 800 × 2500 mm. It has an installed power of 11 kW and machine dimensions of 3500 × 1200 × 1300 mm.
The SKW-1200 supports glass up to 1200 × 2500 mm. Its installed power is 11 kW, with machine dimensions of 4200 × 1500 × 1200 mm.
The SKW-1600 accommodates glass up to 1600 × 3000 mm. Its installed power is 12 kW and the machine weighs approximately 1300 kg.
The SKW-1800 supports glass up to 1800 × 3000 mm. It is the largest processing-width model in this series, with a power rating of 16.5 kW.
The selected machine should accommodate the maximum glass dimensions as well as the available loading, unloading and maintenance space.
The SKW Series is suitable for washing flat glass used in architectural, furniture and home appliance products.
It can be used for cleaning glass after cutting, edging and other processing operations, or for preparing glass before subsequent manufacturing stages, depending on the required surface condition.
For connection to an existing glass-processing line, the conveying height, glass transfer arrangement and production sequence should be checked during equipment selection.
A horizontal glass washing machine washes and dries flat glass as it moves through the machine on a horizontal conveyor. The SKW Series uses pre-spraying, brushes, sponge rollers and hot air drying.
Four models are available: SKW-800, SKW-1200, SKW-1600 and SKW-1800.
The maximum processing widths are 800 mm, 1200 mm, 1600 mm and 1800 mm, depending on the model.
All four models support glass thicknesses from 3 to 19 mm.
Glass first passes through pre-spraying and brush washing. Sponge rollers then remove surface water before the glass enters the low-pressure hot air drying section.
The SKW Series uses bevel gear transmission and mechanical stepless speed regulation for conveying glass through the washing and drying sections.
Yes. After brush washing and sponge roller water removal, the glass passes through a low-pressure hot air drying section.
The SKW Series can be considered for integration with compatible glass edging equipment. Conveyor height, transfer direction, operating speed and equipment interfaces should be checked before installation.
The SKW-1600 supports glass up to 1600 × 3000 mm and has a power rating of 12 kW. The SKW-1800 supports glass up to 1800 × 3000 mm and has a power rating of 16.5 kW.
The machine includes sponge roller water removal and hot air drying. Actual drying results depend on glass conditions, water quality, conveying speed and machine settings. Cleaning and drying requirements should be evaluated for the intended production process.
For SKW washing machine selection, please provide the maximum and minimum glass dimensions, glass thickness, required cleaning process and factory layout.
For production-line integration, please also provide the existing equipment arrangement, conveyor height and expected operating requirements.
