    Vertical Glass Sandblasting

The SANKEN SKS series produces frosted surfaces on flat glass using abrasive blasting. Vertical glass transport and a PLC-controlled spraying system support automatic processing, while a manual gun provides an additional operating option.

Choose SKS-1600, SKS-2000 or SKS-2500 to match your maximum glass size. All three models combine three automatic guns, one manual gun and a dust collection system.

    Key Features

    PLC and Touch-Screen Control

Operators select automatic or manual processing through the touch-screen interface. The PLC coordinates machine operation for the selected processing mode.

Three Automatic Guns and One Manual Gun

Three automatic spraying guns support automatic surface processing. A separate manual gun provides flexibility for work requiring manual control.

    Vertical Glass Transport

Timing belts drive glass transmission and the vertical movement of the spraying assembly. Glass transfer speed is 3–6 m/min, with a nozzle moving speed of 8 m/min.

    Dust Collection and Filter Cleaning

The enclosed blasting area works with an automatic dust collection system to capture airborne dust. Reverse-air cleaning clears the dust collector filters as part of the collection system.

    Wear-Resistant Nozzles

The spraying nozzles use wear-resistant materials. Routine inspection of nozzles, belts and filters helps maintain the selected processing conditions.

    Working Sequence

Prepare Glass → Load Vertically → Set Processing Mode → Sandblast → Unload and Inspect

For patterned work, prepare and apply a suitable blasting stencil before loading. After blasting, remove the mask and clean the glass for inspection.

    Frosted and Decorative Glass

Use the SKS series for frosted privacy glass and decorative panels, including partitions, shower enclosures, doors and furniture glass.

For logos, lettering and decorative patterns, a separate plotter can cut a suitable masking film. The stencil defines which areas of the glass are exposed to the abrasive; the sandblasting machine processes those exposed areas.

    Factory Layout and Utilities

Plan space for the machine, vertical glass loading and unloading, dust collector access and routine maintenance. Match the compressed-air supply to the working pressure of 0.6–0.8 MPa and air consumption of 3 m³/min.

The machine power is 3.5 kW. An external compressed-air supply is required; include the compressor and air-treatment equipment when planning factory utilities.

We plan the equipment arrangement around your selected model, glass flow and available workshop space.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Which models are included in the SKS series?

    The series includes SKS-1600, SKS-2000 and SKS-2500, with maximum processing sizes of 1600 × 3000 mm, 2000 × 3000 mm and 2500 × 3000 mm respectively.

Can I choose automatic or manual operation?

Yes. The machine provides automatic and manual processing modes, with three automatic guns and one manual gun.

Can the machine produce logos and lettering?

Yes, with a suitable stencil applied to the glass. A separate plotter prepares the mask; blasting creates the finish on the exposed glass surface.

Does it need an air compressor?

Yes. Provide an external compressed-air supply at 0.6–0.8 MPa with an air consumption of 3 m³/min.

How does the dust collection system work?

The dust collector extracts dust from the blasting area. Reverse-air cleaning helps clear the collector filters. Keep filters and seals maintained as part of routine operation.

What information should I send for a quotation?

Send your maximum and minimum glass dimensions, thickness range, required surface finish, production requirements, available power supply and factory layout.
