SANKEN Glass Straight Line Double Edging Machine
SANKEN SKDE Series Glass Straight Line Double Edging Machine is designed for processing rectangular flat glass. Horizontal feeding, rough grinding, chamfering, fine grinding and polishing are completed continuously in one operation.
The series uses double linear guides and double ball screws in the transmission structure and is operated through a touch-screen human-machine interface. Six SKDE configurations are available, with 22- or 24-spindle arrangements and maximum processing sizes from 2440 mm to 6000 mm.
Glass Straight Line Double Edging Machine
The SANKEN SKDE Series Glass Straight Line Double Edging Machine is designed for grinding and polishing rectangular flat glass. It combines horizontal glass feeding, rough grinding, chamfering, fine grinding and polishing in one continuous operation.
The machine uses a transmission structure with double linear guides and double ball screws. A touch-screen human-machine interface is used for machine operation and production settings.
Six SKDE configurations are available for different glass sizes and processing requirements. The series includes 22-spindle and 24-spindle configurations, with maximum processing sizes from 2440 mm to 6000 mm.

Processing Functions
Horizontal Glass Feeding
Rectangular glass is fed horizontally through the machine for continuous double-edge processing.
Rough Grinding
The rough grinding section removes material from the glass edges before the subsequent finishing stages.
Chamfering
The SKDE Series supports a chamfer width of 0–3 mm according to the catalogue specifications.
Fine Grinding
Fine grinding follows the rough grinding stage to further finish the processed glass edges.
Polishing

22-Spindle and 24-Spindle Configurations
22-Spindle Models
SKDE-2522A, SKDE-4222A and SKDE-6022A use 22 spindles, arranged as 11 spindles on each side.
24-Spindle Models
SKDE-2524A, SKDE-4224A and SKDE-6024A use 24 spindles, arranged as 12 spindles on each side.
The catalogue shows diamond, resin, arris resin, arris polishing and polishing wheels in the spindle arrangement. The appropriate configuration should be selected according to glass thickness, required edge finish and production requirements.
Choosing the Right SKDE Model
For Glass up to Approximately 2.5 m
SKDE-2522A and SKDE-2524A are intended for the smaller processing-size range. The 2522A uses 22 spindles and supports 3–19 mm glass, while the 2524A uses 24 spindles and supports 3–25 mm glass.
For Glass up to 4 m
SKDE-4222A and SKDE-4224A both have a maximum processing size of 4000 mm. The main catalogue differences are spindle quantity, minimum processing size, thickness range and installed power.
For Glass up to 6 m
SKDE-6022A and SKDE-6024A extend the maximum processing size to 6000 mm for large-format rectangular glass.
